Welcome to Gifts of the Journey.
If you are reading this first post you’re probably a friend or family member and it is primarily for you that I’ve created giftsofthejourney.com.
Most of you are aware that in the last six weeks my life has changed dramatically, I’ve gone from having an American zip code to a post code found in the United Kingdom and a new living situation along the Cornish coast of England.
I hope to share my life here in England though regular posts written for you like a series of picture postcards from abroad. Please drop by often and say hello.
This has been moved from my original GOTJ website and dusted off to take its place with the others.
What a beautiful photo…You could not possibly take it at this time of the year ?
Best regards,
Arielle from sunny Miami

Hi Elizabeth, I’m not a family member or personal friend but I have visited Cornwall and fell in love with it. I’m not sure how I happened upon your blog but I hope you don’t mind me peering into your wonderful life in England. I enjoy the pictures you post as it brings back memories of all the places we visited and makes me document what I hope to see in the future. One of our favorite villages was Port Isaac and I loved Padstow. My husband did a lot of wind tunnel testing for Boeing before retirement and we would stay in the wonderful little town of Farnham I am a duel citizen of Canada and the US and have given thought to coming to live for a period of time in my life. I’m envious of your life in beautiful England. Cheryl
Hello, Cheryl and thanks so much for leaving a comment. When I started GOTJ almost five years ago I never imagined so many people might be interested and anyone is welcome to stop in for a look. As you can see, I’m in the process of reposting the first 82 posts from my original GOTJ blog.
We love Port Isaac and my Doc Martin blog posts are some of the ways new folks find their way here. Padstow is fun too although a bit too crowded for me in the summertime. I’ll have to look up Farnham.
Such a beautiful photo. I remember your love story well.
Thanks Jayne, you probably thought I’d been hacked when you saw this old one resurface in your mailbox. Did you see the newest post explaining?
I am so happy you’re running these, I’ve never read them. And I love this picture!
