Birthday Greetings From Cornwall

Karen Walrond over at Chookooloonks has a sweet post today about her husband, Marcus.  As you can see by my title, today is his birthday.

You may be asking, ” Sooooo what does that have to do with you Elizabeth? ” You’d be right to wonder because it’s not as if I know him personally, in fact I only know about him through Karen’s stories and the lovely images of family life that show up in her blog from time to time. What I do know about Marcus….is that he’s Cornish and seeing how he’s so far from his roots in Cornwall, I thought I’d put together a few images of my new life here to remind him of where his began.

Happy Birthday Marcus!

  1. A really nice set of pictures that take me back down memory (what’s left of my memory) lane. I think the beach and coastal shots get me the most or maybe the ale.

    Cheers!

  2. I’m not from Cornwall, but I still wanted to come and visit! Beautiful pictures! I especially like the shot of the village from under a, it looks like, a tree limb. It’s as though it in a frame!

  3. SO beautiful. Every time I see your picutres of Cornwall, I want to move there. Immediately. It’s the stone house and beautiful green grass that gets me. And something else…something I can’t quite put my finger on.

    Happy Love Thursday!

  4. Beautiful, pure England. The photo of the cars in the tiny lane cracked me up, my (American) husband used to get so upset about those “stupid narrow English lanes” when we lived over there. Explaining that they’d been build long before there were cars did not help when we got stuck in one or, behold, had to reverse to let someone pass! 🙂 Kxo

  5. I’ll echo Katie…as soon as I began looking at the photographs I said, “I want to live there.”. You have a beautiful place to live! Thank you for sharing it.

  6. the Breakfast plate has me drooling, but over here it is bedtime

In the morning, I will probably have a bowl of cereal and apple slices, not nearly so yummy….

  7. Love your photos of Cornwall. You and John should start leading walking tour visits of the area! I bet you could put together wonderful itineraries of discovery!
